"We liked the cabin; it was cozy and comfortable. The first 2 nights, we were the only ones in the property, so, it was truly an away-from-it-all vacation. Our pups loved it too and was super thrilled to see deer in the yard in the morning. The river was dried up (in November), but, the trees had turned colors, so, it was nice. This location is perfect if you want to visit Garner State Park and Lost Maples. "

"Quiet place to stay, clean cabin and well maintained property. About 15 miles from Concan where we swam in the Frio. Had breakfast at cute pie diner in Utopia. Fun weekend with granddaughters."

"I had a fine time, the location was good, the staff were friendly, the accommodation was clean and very well appointed. I would change two things in the listing. The wifi was intermittent and slow when it was present and though this is a "river retreat" there really isn't a river, looks like it's been dry for several years."
