Nice quiet spot. Was very clean. Hot tub was small and older and could have been a little warmer.

We enjoyed ourselves first of all. But the top step has a loose board, the bed was lumpy and hard as a rock and nosey as can be. If you or your partner moves you know it.

Perfect little place for a weekend getaway! Jake, the host, was quick to respond to my questions. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and time spent in front of the fireplace. It’s a short drive to town to enjoy dinner. The large walk in shower with the rain shower head was a nice surprise. The only down side to our stay was the very firm mattress which we were not use to. Other than that, a perfect stay!

The room was clean, the bed was not very comfy. Hot tub was the best part. In the amenities I thought it said there was a bathtub but there was not, that was a little disappointing. Over all it was cozy, quiet and the fireplace was a nice touch as well.

This was my partner and mines first vacation by ourselves and it was very conveniently located close enough to old man’s cave and the city. It was very quiet and peaceful as well.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hideout. It’s in a great spot for the local attractions. Was just the right size for my wife and I and our dogs. My only complaint is that the towels and wash cloths were damp and musty. Made us question if they had even been washed. We had to use our beach towels after showers because of this. Other than that it’s a nice place.

Absolutely we’re blown away at how cute and romantic this cabin was. The hot tub was super relaxing and very nice to enjoy after hiking. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We will definitely be back as this was the same weekend we got engaged. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

The place is a very clean well-maintained and spacious cabin with some great amenities. We loved that it was dog-friendly. I would very much recommend this cabin to others.
Areas for improvement would be the quality of water in the hot tub and maybe some additional kitchen accessories like dishes, silverware, etc.

It was a great quiet stay close to all Hocking Hills has to offer. The fire pit was awesome. however, an investment in a swifter duster would be highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Hideout! It checked all our boxes. Kitchen, hot tub, king size bed, fireplace, fire pit, and pup friendly! It was ready for us at check in and was nice and cool and welcoming when we came in from the 90 degree heat! 😎 Situated on the beautiful winding road, close to all major trails, this cabin is a hidden gem. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the front porch! The yard was well maintained and great that we could let our pups roam and sniff around (not fenced in). This cabin has everything for a couple’s getaway! Highly recommend and will keep it in our list of favorites! Thank you!

Overall was a decent property, however they do not provide a lot of towels. Only 4 total for the whole trip and since the rental has a hot tub we felt like they should’ve provided more. Definitely bring your own towels if you stay here. Also the only kitchen towel that was provided was dirty and smelled like vomit…
Overall tho the cabin was nice and it was a good location for hiking spots.

Property needs some work. Floor and rugs filthy. Kitchen utensils and cookware poor condition. Bedding and towels need improvement. Back deck covered with dirt and leaves. Pillows on couch dirty.

We went as a quick getaway. The property was neat and clean. About 30 minutes from Logan. We had a little problem with the hot tub. The property owner responded quickly and got the issue taken care of with little effort. Enjoyed the fire pit… fire wood was close by. Next time we go we will plan on packing some groceries and cooking a little. The closest restaurant was only open Thursday-Sunday. All the other places we found were in Logan. Jacks steak hose was very good!!!

The Hideout is in a great location, close to Old Man's Cave, Rock House, Ash Cave, and Grandma Faye's. The large yard and long driveway made it easy to park and back up to the main door. The outdoor firepit is a nice touch, and the indoor gas fireplace adds to the cozy vibe. The living room furniture is comfortable, and the space overall was clean and quiet.
However, there were some issues. The hot tub had insufficient water on arrival, but Cindy from management quickly resolved it. The frying pan was warped, and although I bought a new one, I have yet to be reimbursed (I did not expect to be and left it for next guests; but was told I would be). The kitchen is understocked, with only three dinner plates and limited utensils, so you'll need to run the dishwasher between meals. There was black soot on all the walls, possibly from the fireplace or the pan. The broom was taped together, and one bar stool seat was worn/torn. The bed had a large lump in the middle—likely due to an old mattress that needs replacing (I let Cindy know at the same. time as hot tub). We also had trouble with the TV app setup, and the grill area was too dark without working light (the two provided flashlights also had no batteries). The pillows on couch are dirty. No rug inside at door entry after coming in from exterior. Mold forming on bathroom ceiling.
Overall, it’s a nice place with great potential but could use some TLC and repairs to justify the price.

My husband, two dogs and I celebrated my 65th birthday at the Hideout in Hocking Hills. It was a relaxing trip. The Hideout was very easy to find, located just a short drive from the little town of Laurelville. This quaint cottage had everything we needed during our stay for two people.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a nice size walk-in shower (no tub), the kitchen had a nice amount of pots and pans, and a Keurig coffee maker. No washer and dryer, but we were only there for 3 nights, so that wasn’t a problem. There was a nice hot tub and fire pit (bring your own wood). The description said wood burning fireplace inside, but we found that it was a gas fireplace. The outside charcoal grill was the type you find in a park, so I ended up cooking in a cast iron skillet I brought with me.
We were able to get grocery delivery from InstaCart so that we didn’t have to spend time shopping, although my husband did go to Grandma Faye’s to get some wine and misc items. We also got some pretty tasty pizza from Laurelville Pizza on the last night of our stay.
The host was very responsive to any communication through emails and the handy welcome email they sent was very informative. We never did figure out how to use our apps for Netflix, Prime, YouTube TV etc through their Smart TV, but they had DirecTV for the little time we wanted to watch TV. The internet wasn’t the fastest, but it wasn’t horrible.
We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again.
