"Well appointed gite in a very quiet hamlet very close to Azay-Le-Rideau. The gite has been well renovated, has a large garden and is very weĺl equipped. The hosts were charming and helpful and although they lived next door, were very unobtrusive yet always available for advice/help. Would be very happy to come back again."

"We stayed at Le Grand Monarque, Azay-le-Rideau for 3 nights. Everything was great: central location, large room, very quiet and they have a parking location near by. "The property and surrounding countryside are beautiful. The entire Lorie river valley is a beautiful place. Several magnificent Chateau’s within easy driving distance. Our hosts were very gracious and provided us with all that we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after very well by Phillipe, Natasha and the staff. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was very good. However, for us the highest marks should go to to the food. The breakfast had an excellent European choice. The dinners were superb. The menu was changed everyday and there was a limited but good choice of dishes. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The fish and desserts were particularly good. It was a very good price for the quality. We intended to eat there just twice but only ate out at a small restaurant in the village was once. Philippe was very helpful in giving us suggestions for visits. We would definitely stay there again when we next visit France."
