The heated, secure pool is exclusively for you
The cottage can accommodate 10 people maximum
a cot is at your disposal as well as the small equipment
we provide all the household linen (sheets, towels, tea towels) with the exception of pool towels, the beds are made upon arrival, we offer if you wish a cleaning package at the end of your stay. A security deposit of 550 (not levied) will be required at the entrance and returned no later than one week after the stay.

A beautiful ,comfortable, tastefully renovated property, in a quiet location but with easy access to Loire and Vienne villages and chateaux. The kitchen equipment and appliances were just about complete. The pool and outside space was lovely- sunny areas and shade, with nice planting. The owners are so pleasant and helpful.We loved it, no complaints at all!

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable 2-week holiday staying in this charming and very well-equipped property. The property is light, airy, spacious and effectively can be used as a holiday for two families or groups should they want or need their own space. Laurence lives very close by and was very easy to contact. She was friendly, pleasant, attentive, and helpful and not in any way intrusive. The online pictures are a very accurate representation of the house and gardens. The property has easy access to several chateaux and interesting local towns (Chinon, Bourgeuil, Saumur, Langeais) and is a 5-minute drive from Azay-le-Rideau. The downstairs bedroom is wonderfully cool in hot weather and quiet. The owner supplied plenty of good fans to use in the hot weather in other parts of the house. The surroundings and gardens were extensive, very attractive and quiet affording lots of privacy and different areas for our family to enjoy relaxing and playing and ready access to local and immediate walks in adjacent forests. A delightful spot. This is a very good area for cycling providing varied and interesting routes either near to the Loire river or through pretty villages. The swimming pool is heated and secured and is in the garden which makes it very convenient and a great asset to your holiday.

Terrific

We had a wonderful time. The villa was as described. It was very clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding very good. It was in a lovely setting, with a very nice swimming pool and the main town was not far away, so was very convenient to get to, by car, for gift shops (not many, but a few) and restaurants. You definitely need a car though to get around as everywhere is too far to get to if you walk. We did notice a bus stop within a couple of minutes walk from the villa, so I guess you can get about easily by bus but we never asked about this. The only thing that we were a little disappointed with was that there wasn’t a welcome pack and that would have been very good because we arrived late and had only half an hour to get to the supermarket to buy milk and cold drinks. We would definitely love to stay again although the next time we may fly because the drive is very long from the Euro Tunnel - 6/7 hours.

Confort, calme et

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce gîte idéalement situé, au calme dans un charmant lieu-dit, tout en étant proche de nombreux châteaux et sites d’intérêt de la région. Le logement est spacieux et parfaitement adapté aux séjours en groupe (nous étions 8 et chacun y a trouvé sa place avec confort). Les équipements sont vraiment un plus : barbecue, piscine, terrasse… tout y est pour profiter pleinement. Laurence, la propriétaire, est très disponible, réactive et à l’écoute ! Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce gîte

Douceur angevine

Nous avons profité de la douceur angevine, de ses cours d’eau, des châteaux bien sûr , et d’une végétation luxuriante, notamment des très belles roses partout, d’une population amicale. La maison était conforme à nos désirs, avec son extérieur traditionnel et son intérieur contemporain, son beau jardin fleuri et sa piscine.Quelques petits points à corriger, ciseaux qui ne coupent pas à remplacer, micro-ondes à l’ergonomie très confuse nécessite absolument un mode d’emploi clair à défaut d’être remplacé. Globalement, grande satisfaction.

Séjour en Touraine

Très belle région des châteaux de la Loire. Villandry, Langeais, Chinon, Azay le Rideau, le charme ne manque pas. Facile à circuler en vélo. Nous avons eu pluie et neige. Alors nous avons fait quelques visites de caves de producteurs de vin. De très belles tables de restaurant. La semaine ne suffit pas à tous les fréquenter. Le gîte est très agréable et facile. Proche des bois. Piscine non utilisée car novembre, mais en été, sa situation proche de la maison est un atout. Laurence est prévenante, et garantit un séjour dans les meilleures conditions.

In the heart of Touraine

A warm welcome from Laurence with all the information about the house and the surrounding area. Very spacious house in a rural location, which is ideal for two families or friends, as there are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms at opposite ends of the building. The large combined living and dining room with open kitchen also offers enough space and seating for the specified number of people. We really liked the combination of the old building with modern elements, the equipment is very extensive and we didn't feel cold even in autumn, which is not a matter of course in old buildings. Shops, petrol station and restaurants can be found in Azay-le-Rideau, which can be reached by car in less than ten minutes. The number of excursion options is huge and there should be something for every preference. We felt very comfortable here and spent a great week in the heart of Touraine. Au revoir!

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad! Prachtig huis, heel erg ruim. Qua schoonmaken kan het naar ons inziens wat beter. Veel spinnenwebben. Keuken erg uitgebreid en van alle gemakken voorzien! Zwembad en tuin ook erg mooi. Huis ligt wel iets afgelegen (wat andere huizen in nabije omgeving maar voor bakker etc. echt een auto nodig). Voor rust zoekers ideaal! In de omgeving wel erg mooie dorpjes en plaatsen te bezoeken. Ontzettend veel kastelen en wijnboeren in de omgeving.

Perfect for families

We were travelling with a disabled grandma, who enjoyed the ground floor room, grandad, son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons. We had a brilliant time, the house and pool were perfect! Lovely comfortable beds and everything you need for a really lovely family holiday.

Le description sur l annonce Abritel est bien conforme à la réalité. L emplacement proche d Azay-le-Rideau et de Tours permet des excursions de grande qualité. La piscine meme si pas très grande est certainement un plus pour se reposer. La disponibilité de la propriétaire en cas de question fut fort apprécié. Attention aux moustiques tigres.

A great place to stay and relax with many beautiful chateaus nearby

We arrived later in the evening than expected so didn’t meet our host until the following morning, but access to the property was easy and straightforward. The directions to the property were easy to follow. The house was clean and well equipped and the pool was wonderful to relax in after a day sightseeing. We were a party of 3 adults in a house for 10 people so we didn’t use all the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious and there were 3 bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom was cool and easily accessible being in what must have been the original house. However, I think a young family may struggle with the open tread staircase off the living room and up to the first floor bedroom. Again 3 adults so not a problem for us. Laurence our host was able to give recommendations for bike hire, chateaux and restaurants to visit. One other thing to note is the security deposit in cash, euros, to be given on arrival, this was returned in full when we departed, but we then had lots of euros to convert back to our own currency on return.
