"We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Easy to drive into Edinburgh or can get the train from Gorebridge....

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"Wow what an amazing experience we had at East twin cottage carmichael, the property is a little dated but very clean and in an amazing location. We had deer field for our back garden and we even witnessed a deer give birth just meters away from us on quite morning! They people who run the business are so friendly and helpful. "We stayed for a week during the Fringe Festival. The cottage provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay at a good price. It is a good base, both for getting into Edinburgh and for exploring the Fife area. There are some beautiful areas on the costal routes."

"The flat was bright and spacious for 4 adults. It had all the amenities we required. The location is excellent for walking around central Glasgow and a short taxi ride to Queen Street and Central train stations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"

"Such a beautiful location and cottage. Stayed in the Oak 2 Bed cottage and this was a home from home. They think of everything (including sachets of condiments). This stay was perfect for me, my partner and our 9 month old baby. The bedrooms are so spacious so plenty of room for a travel cot in the main bedroom with you or the 2nd bedroom. Waking up and opening the curtains to the views and the sheep was fantastic. We would definitely be going back."

"The weather wasn’t in our favor but it didn’t matter as the cottage was the perfect place to spend a rainy day. The home was far more spacious than the photos conveyed. We had plenty of room for our group of five. With a well fitted out kitchen, a nice supply of board games, and a cozy fire in the wood stove, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully, we will be able to take advantage of the lovely enclosed private garden on a future visit."
