"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity table , which made the room far too bright. The bathroom was ok but needed hooks on the back of the door to hang wet towels or Bath robes . Food and drink at the hotel was very expensive and over...

"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10"
