I’m all about rustic cabins in the woods but these just need some TLC. I don’t even care as much about the peeling paint, or rusted shower but the smell of old, musty room enhanced every time the old window unit AC was on was little too much for me. We were lucky the weather was nice so we opted for open windows most of the time.
We picked this place because it’s pet friendly. Upon our arrival, the owner/manager (?) greeted me by saying I was supposed to call ahead that I’m bringing a dog. Well, I didn’t know that. Then I was told to minimize the time the dog spends in the cabin alone. So that didn’t seem very dog friendly to me until I saw people who arrived a day after us letting their dogs run in the fenced in pool area off leash and swimming in the pool. Anyway, the rules for dogs just seem too weird and with everything else, I would probably not stay again. The best part is the location.
