This compound is perfect for multi-generational families to share a vacation together, enjoying the property and the lake, while still maintain privacy when they need some "alone" time.

We rented this property in August for our family reunion. We had 28 people in total, and the property worked great with the main house and 3 separate cabins. You couldn't get a better location, right on the lake and walking distance to town. The kitchen and bar were well stocked with everything we needed to make our meals. The kids loved the beach and the lake was warm enough to swim in, which we did every day.

We took the main house & 3 cottages and the stay could not have been more perfect! The location is ideal - easy walk to village. Little private beach, sprawling lawns, dock for rented boat, fire pits made outside play time fantastic! Indoors was super accomodating for our large group, kitchen was great. Really, it was simply an ideal week!

This property exceeded all our expectations! We are a very large family and it’s so hard to find a property big enough to accommodate our group. This place is spacious and beautiful, so many areas for people to spread out and enjoy themselves. The outdoor area is lovely with landscaping, a beach area for the little ones and docks for all your boating needs. The owner was very nice to work with and we hope to be back!

We have had the pleasure of renting from Laura for 3 years . Its the best location on the lake. Best views, Sandy beach, cozy cabin, and beautiful landscapes. We hope to be able to come back yearly. Very friendly and helpful.

House and cottages were exceptional. Great location with docks and beach right on the property. We had everything we needed. Obvious that the owners care about and maintain the property. We had a very large group and it was more than capable of accommodating everyone without feeling crowded or cramped. Great place.

Laura has been great to work with beginning when I emailed her inquiring on availability. I was looking for a place that was pet friendly, and was happy to find her place that was close Lake George Village. Overall the stay was great, it was very laid back. Most of the cottages have 2 bed, 1 bath except for one, so keep that in mind. It ended up working out very well for us. I would absolutely recommend Laura & Ken's cottages, they are great people that have an awesome setup. If we make it back to Lake George next year, I'll be sure to get in contact with her. Thanks Laura!

My husband and I along with our family stayed at the Collette's Stony Hill Cottages for a week during the 4th, what a wonderful lakefront retreat! Our cottage was everything we expected and much more. At times it accompanied 7 of us comfortably. Laura and Ken the owners were so accommodating, friendly and always available to help with anything we needed or to recommend places to go in the area. They have a beautiful property and amenities such as paddle boards, kayaks, floats, tubes, and games for all to enjoy. And, they also provided a docking space for our boat, which was so convenient for our every day lake adventures. We all had a fantastic week and we would book the Collette cottages again when visiting Lake George.

Absolutely beautiful location, right on the lake. The pictures that are posted are not doing this house any justice. The owners (an very lovely couple) let us dock the boat on their dock and were ultimately extremely accommodating. They helped us with propane tank for the grill (which saved us a lot of headache) and gave us few very useful points (restaurants and attractions) to check out in the nearby area. The house itself was clean and pleasant. The only thing that we found a little hard to deal with is the lack of Internet and Wi-Fi. But other than that, we had a great time. Will definitely come back!!!

We booked the 2 bedroom cottage for our family of 4 . We just returned yesterday from our trip and had a great time. The cottage was exactly what we needed plus Laura was tremendously flexible on dates. Most places we contacted required a full week. We were just looking for 5 days . Plus Laura allowed us to bring our boat and wave runner. She even allowed our dog without a deposit. The cottage was rustic but furnished perfectly for our needs. We had a HUGE deck with a BBQ and picnic tables so we would eat our meals overlooking the lake. The cottage is located right across the lake from Lake George Village so you could boat over there easily. It would probably be an easy walk as well. I would highly recommend renting from Laura.

We had a fantastic time here during the long holiday weekend. The cottages are right on the lake - you can see Lake George Village across the water. Accommodations were clean, bright, and comfortable, and our cottage (#1 - well worth the extra $) had a large covered deck overlooking beautiful landscaping, and of course, the water. Everything we needed was included. We enjoyed hanging out on the lawn in between outings in the village. I can't say enough about the landscaping - beautiful stonework, and hostess Laura is a very talented gardener. Just gorgeous. The Collettes are terrific hosts. We were lucky to find a place so nice that also welcomes dogs - ours had a blast fetching his ball in the lake. We will definitely return. Laura, please post more pictures - the ones here do not do it justice!

The property was beautiful and we'll maintained. My children, ages 3, 7, and 13, all enjoyed the beach area and the equipment onsite; kayaks, paddle board and sandbox toys. The cabin was perfect for us and had pots and pans so I could cook meals for my family. The village was a short walk away and a playground was right around the corner. The Thursday night fireworks were awesome to watch from the lawn... nothing like it! There was ample dock space for our boat for a very reasonable rate. The other tenants on the property were wonderful. We all felt like family and felt very welcomed. The kids all played together when we weren't on the boat. In a nutshell... This is a fantastic place. We loved it and can't wait to return next summer. Martina

By far, this has been the most exceptional place we have stayed at Lake George. The house was absolutely perfect, providing ample room for everyone. We even rented three cottages alongside the main house. Its proximity to town made it incredibly convenient, allowing us to walk without any hassle. Moreover, the property boasts a delightful little beach, ensuring the safety of our little ones while they enjoyed a refreshing swim. And let's not forget the awe-inspiring fireworks display from the town, which was simply spectacular when seen from this location. We will be back for sure! Highly recommended!! The amenities were great. The kitchen was fully stocked and had all the appliances we needed to make meals. There was a spacious dining area that everyone could fit comfortably in. The living room has plenty of seating and a large TV with satellite service. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The outdoor area had a large deck with plenty of seating and enough room to BBQ. We used the kayaks, canoes, and rowboats provided by the owner for some fun family time, and it was so peaceful out there! We made great memories that will last forever.

We rented the main house and the three available cottages (note - there are 5 cottages on the property, two of which are occupied by seasonal renters). The location is amazing (walk to town, private beach for swimming, dock for boat) and the owners are lovely and responsive. There were only a couple of issues that made the stay less than perfect. Some of our less able guests found walking on the grassy slope down to the water very difficult…A paver walkway would have helped them enjoy the property more fully. This is not an ideal property for anybody who is mobility-challenged but is ideal for all others. Our first night was quite uncomfortable indoors as the main house air conditioner had to be turned off because a previous guest had frozen the system. By the next day, the air conditioner was working and there were no other issues. Other than those two iconcerns, our stay was fantastic and we would recommend without reservation.

Stonyhill Estate is a very large, beautiful, and beautifully situated home right on Lake George. You are surrounded by beauty - mountains, water and woods. You can enjoy the scenery from either the large deck attached to the house - there are plenty of tables and comfortable chairs - or the top deck of a 2 story dock in the water. That was also a great place to view the Thursday night Lake George fireworks or to sip cocktails as the sun sets. The house is so spacious that you never feel crowded, and the many bathrooms ensure that you don't have to wait to take your shower! The kitchen has all the modern appliances and conveniences you would ever want, including 2 refrigerators with freezers. The beds are all very comfortable. Outside - in or out of the lake - is the place to be! There is a sandy beach entrance into the lake which is also a great place for children to play. The owners have many tubes, noodles, sand toys, kayaks and paddle boards to be used, and there really is something for everybody. The hosts, Laura and Ken, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Our only "problem" was a chipmunk came in to visit us! But we called Ken, and he came over right away to deal with it. Thank you so much, Laura and Ken, for providing such a beautiful and fun place to spend a relaxing vacation! Kathi, et al

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Laura's property over a long weekend in July (glad they could accommodate a long weekend during the busy summer season). Laura and her husband were both very nice and friendly. We stayed in the second cottage from the top, just off the main deck (1 bedroom, 1 bath). The property is lovely, the landscaping very well done and all expertly maintained. There are two grills on the main deck to share, and two large tables with umbrellas that probably seat 16-20 people. Just a couple of steps down the lawn were adirondack chairs, lounge chairs, and regular chairs available for guest use. There is a dock and a small sandy 'beach' entrance into the lake, which we loved, and a canoe and kayak available for guests too. The view from the shore is spectacular and the sunsets at night were great. The cottage itself is what I would expect from a lake cottage - rustic with a lived-in feel, so no complaints there. The bed was quite comfortable (seemed pretty new to me), and there was ample space for us to unpack into dressers if we wanted, though we didn't choose to. The kitchen is a bit small and the living area not terribly comfortable, but it suited our needs since we spent most of our time outside enjoying the lake anyway. The cottage had good air conditioning, parking is fine, never had a problem finding a spot. Our dog was very welcomed and stayed outside with us most of the time. It was pretty much all families with kids in the other cottages, which was fine for us, but I know that's not the preference of every traveler. Honestly the only complaint I have is that sometimes things were a little disorganized. For example, when we arrived at 7PM, no one was there to greet us, so I called Laura (they were out on their boat), she told us which cottage was ours and we unpacked. As we were getting ready to leave the next day for a bike ride, we realized we didn't have keys to the cottage, and we couldn't find Laura, so we just left. We never really had an 'introduction' to the property when we arrived, so we weren't sure what we were allowed to use, where we should put our pet's waste (we found a dumpster near where we parked), when we should pay our balance, if we needed to sign a rental contract, that kind of thing. (And we never did get keys, which Laura realized as we were leaving.) Whoops! Regardless, we would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to others without reservations
