Lovely vacation spot!

Beautiful property, has everything you need. We all used the large patio for hanging out by and doing some remote work. And there’s another spot upstairs with a great view. The location is amazing, walk to the Montage, Rubys or the shopping Center with CVS, La Sirena Grill etc. Take the trolley into town and don’t worry about parking. Lots of great hikes right outside your door. Bliss!

This house is very clean and comfortable. Centrally located and to have parking in California is great. The kitchen is well stocked and the beach access across the street is wonderful.

Great location

Here for a wedding just down the road so location was perfect. Parking spot a plus. Walk to the Drake for great food & music! Property was clean & comfy. Shower in main bathroom was tiny - one of us was not so tiny, but he managed. Back patio very relaxing, though it was quite hot during the day. Communication with host was perfect. Would definitely stay again!

Beach Vacation Sancturary

This house truly was a sanctuary by the beach. From our mornings on the zen garden patio to our evenings watching the sunsets from the rooftop deck, it was all so amazing! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was ideal, with Victoria beach close by and downtown Laguna a short trolly ride away. We are definitely looking forward to coming again! This truly is a hidden gem!

Fun Stay

Back patio was a highlight. Good to have a parking spot in Laguna. Easy walk to The Drake & Starfish for dinners & less than 10 minutes to the beach. We found the K bed to be too soft but that's a personal preference. One of 2 showers too small to use comfortably. Apt was clean. Good communication.

Wedding trip

We were traveling for a wedding at the Montague. This is an excellent alternative to a hotel stay. Very close to this resort. Would stay here again. Would not consider otherwise.

A little Oasis

This furnished-with-love penthouse has access to a wonderful hidden terrace, giving you the feeling of having arrived in an oasis! The host is wonderful- very helpful and welcoming. Walking distance from the beach and even downtown Laguna!

We loved staying here. The apartment is beautiful and interesting, AND immaculate. The patio is so lovely and the rooftop terrace is a special treat. The space accommodated our family —four adults and a 19 month old—quite well. The host was so personable and helpful, both before our travels and while we were there! An absolutely delightful stay!

Gem is right!

Wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed at the hidden gem for a few days and just loved it. It's in a great location in Laguna. Central to everything. Very cool art and decor. Comfortable beds. Lovely outdoor patio and rooftop deck. Just bring your wine and snacks and go enjoy this lovely place.

Fantastic vacation rental in a fantastic location

We had a wonderful stay at Bill and Paul’s place. Perfect location and perfect space. The apartment had every amenity imaginable and the outdoor space was breathtaking. Fully stocked kitchen and outdoor grill made cooking delightful. Easy ride to pearsons port for fish was a real plus. Thanks Bill and Paul. Your home made our stay perfect!

Laguna Gem is awesome

Pictures don't do justice. This is real Laguna. Artwork, decor, and attention to detail is impeccable. Please add a Brita water container is the one thing to add. Recommended to all my local friends.

Perfect location

Exactly what was needed for family of 5 on a 4 day getaway. Great location(10 min walk to one of the most beautiful beaches, treasure island and 5 min walk to the beach across the street). Able to wake up every morning and enjoy coffee and the ocean. Stocked with more then enough linen and toiletries. Prompt and attentive hosts. Never had a problem. Parking spot is tight(good for sedan) and steep flight of stairs up to the penthouse (not a big issue). Everything was great.

Romantic Getaway

Ideal rental for a romantic getaway. The location, the views, the outdoor spaces, the beautiful interior finishes and art, the availability of towels and beach stuff, the extra pillows...the list goes on. We were so comfortable in this long weekend rental. The beds and bedding are comfortable. I can't think of anything to improve. This is the perfect place to stay in Laguna. The owner was very kind and helpful to us. Above and beyond with the accommodations extended to us.

Ohana Festival Fun Weekend

Lovely property. We shared with two couples, we had plenty of space, except the bathroom was very small. We loved the outside courtyard in the home, which is where we spent most of our time. The location is near restaurants and beach - the trolley is a great way to get around. Street noise is obnoxious, but the outside property makes you forget about it. Manager was very friendly.

A diamond in the rough

We truly enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived to the moment we didn’t want to leave. It’s a beautiful and very private place to stay and so close to one very phenomenal restaurant. The Drake. Wow and yum! Bill was an absolute pleasure to work with and being greeted by Allie was wonderful as well. Everyone in the Black Iris was soooooo very kind. I would recommend this beautiful rental to anyone who’s considering it. I have a few highlights while on our 3 night getaway, however, the best one was getting engaged. 💍♥️🥂 We will return again……and again.

Tasteful, Neat, Fully-equipped, and Lovely Hidden Gem!

We stayed at Laguna's Hidden Gem with a couple friends getting together from all over the states for our wedding ceremony in Laguna Beach. We absolutely loved everything about it, from Paul and Bill's welcoming attitude, to all the amenities and details in the home, and its vicinity. We had every comfort we could have needed. The backyard is such an oasis. The rooftop deck is the perfect place to have breakfast, do yoga, or watch the sunset on the ocean! I would also like to add how the creative and swift ladies at Black Iris (the florist's right downstairs) were a great help with my last-minute floral arrangements! If you stayed there, pay a visit to Black Iris as well! Thanks for everything! We will be back!

Great Stay But Not A True 3rd Bedroom

This is a great property -- excellent location, beautiful patio area, well stocked kitchen, parking, communicative hosts. The only disappointment was the pullout couch in the den space, which the listing states as "new, high quality." This bed was so uncomfortable to each of the teen boys I was traveling with (one 5'0", 100 lbs; the other 5'5", 130) that they opted to share the king size bed instead of each having his own bedroom. The den space is also right off the kitchen with a curtain divider, not a door. For our little group of 3, this didn't matter at all; we still had a great stay and would return. But a group of six adults might feel differently. I suggest the owners invest in a newer, more comfortable pullout or adjust the listing so this is more clear this space is suitable to smaller kids but not adults.

Very Comfortable Home in a Challenging Setting

We just gathered for three nights in the Hidden Gem Penthouse to bring family together for a special stay. The bedrooms and living area were beautifully furnished and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Overall, we loved the apartment and the decor; and we truly appreciated fresh flowers and an attentive host... very much! But, renters should be aware that the setting is challenging. The two bedrooms have windows on PCH, and the traffic noise is significant. The street is very busy, and it's a hard area to park in. Walking to anywhere requires being on a narrow sidewalk on PCH. Also, the cellular and wifi reception were quite weak. However, a lot of this challenge is standard for the Laguna Beach area! Back to the good news, we truly did make it work for us in the best way, and we had an excellent time cooking, playing games, sitting on the quiet patio, and enjoying the sunset from the upper deck. We were able to walk to the Beach, and to the Montage, and to several restaurants, and there is parking for one car, although getting to the designated spot is a bit of a challenge. Overall, for a home stay to gather family, we were very pleased!

Wonderful Stay in Laguna Beach

First, communication with Bill was excellent. We are told to check in at the Black Iris below the apartment and that was perfect. The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. It had two large master bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There was a full size living room and dining area. Also, a full size kitchen. We went our for dinner each night of our stay but for those who want to make dinner at there apartment there is everything you need. All appliances and a large refrigerator. There is a counter you can sit at. There is also a sitting room that is very comfortable. There are multiple televisions throughout and even one set up while you're in the kitchen. There is very comfortable furniture and the beds are great. I slept so well. In addition, there is a large out side patio with a beautiful garden and a stairway leading to a rooftop sitting area with a table and chairs and a wonderful view of the ocean. The location is outstanding. There is a parking spot within a very short distance to the apartment. I would definitely stay at this apartment on future trips to this area. Everything went smoothly and we definitely enjoyed our time in Laguna Beach thanks in large part to this apartment. Thanks again to Bill and Paul.

Great View in a Great Condo in Laguna Beach

A wonderful 2 BR, 2 Bath condo right on the PCH in the southern part of Laguna Beach. Artistically decorated interior with comfortable beds and more amenities for a comfortable stay than you can imagine, including beach chairs and a cooler for trips to the beach! The most outstanding features of this rental are the rooftop deck giving you an excellent view of the ocean and the accompanying magnificent sunsets. As wonderful as the roof deck is, we felt it was surpassed by the garden/patio off of the den and kitchen/dining area. The HVAC controls take a little getting used to, but function well after you adapt to the remote control units. The only downsides to this unit are rather dim lighting in the kitchen and living room areas. LED lighting would likely take care of this but it isn't a big problem. The only other weakness is what appears to be a relatively low bandwidth internet connection. Wi-Fi is shared with the Black Iris florist and gift shop downstairs. The signal strength is good, but during the shop's opening hours, the internet slows to a relative crawl. These are the only two things that could possibly improve this property in our opinion. Something out of control of the owners is Verizon cell strength. It was 3G to 1x in the unit and only occasionally LTE when on the roof deck. This only improves when you travel about 0.3 miles either north or south on the PCH. Totally a Verizon problem. We wouldn't let this ruin a fantastic rental unit.
