"Another visit here, and once again a perfect stay! Great location, very welcoming and friendly owners, super comfy beds, great space, lovely views and perfect location. Local pub serves great food and we headed down to the river Otter for a walk as well as towards Ladram Bay to the beach and cafe. Can't wait to book our next visit!"

"This is a lovely ‘old fashioned’ seafront hotel - absolutely wonderful and very quirky. Our room (19) was large with a sort of anti chamber with the tea and coffee table and a Kirby iron press. We had a kingsize bed and a single bed so it must have been a family room. The view from the window was amazing, directly in front of the sea. Some rooms had balconies at the front. Lovely chairs in the window to sit and watch the world go by. Bathroom well appointed with very hot water - shower over the bath. The hotel itself has numerous lounges and we spotted a games room too. There’s a spa but we only stayed one night and no time to check it out. We had B&B booked but actually had dinner in the evening which was ok but a little on the dull side - roast beef served with roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, parsnips, small Yorkshire, pale green cabbage - bland to look at and ditto breakfast - There’s the option of half board which includes an afternoon tea. The staff were all superb from reception to the wonderful and patient waiters in the restaurant - 5* The hotel was full as I think there were some package coach trips but this was not a problem as everyone was catered for very well and things ran like clockwork! We only live 30 minutes away - we had booked for one night to surprise an elderly relative who had booked a weeks holiday there - but in all honestly I would love to stay again just for the experience again!"

"Was everything that we wanted. Away from traffic & noise pollution in a lovely little village. Everyone you meet is nice & friendly. Angela the host was very helpful & the cottage was superb.Lovely walks in all directions off the beaten track & a bus passes through about once an hour if you want to go further afield. There is a community store in the centre of the village which is very well stocked. The village pub serves up delicious home made meals & the staff are very welcoming.All in all a lovely peaceful break."

"Great location, right on the seafront. Staff are absolutely lovely. Hotel is very clean and seems to be freshly decorated, although in a rather dated style that perhaps caters more to the average age of the clientele. Breakfast is served at the table, rather than a buffet. The hotel suggests a jacket and tie in the restaurant for dinner, so it’s quite formal. Room was super clean and the bathroom bright, clean and clinical. Bed was very soft and bouncy. It was a very pleasant stay but, despite being in my 50s, I couldn’t help feeling that we were lowering the average age by about 20 years."

"The cottage is very well furnished and the pictures did not do it justice. The beds were very comfy and the shower had good water pressure. Was a very relaxing place to chill in the evenings and there are games there to play. The owners have an info folder with local walks which I recommend making the most of. The kitchen is well equipped to cook evening meals. Would happily stay here again."

"A very well appointed studio room with a very comfortable bed and a great shower.Good, detailed description of the property and the surrounding towns were received prior to travel. Also instructions on how to access the property and use the facilities, if the host was not there on arrival.As it happens, Rosemary, was there when we arrived and she was very welcoming, and showed us around and told us how to use the hot tub and other facilities.The Studio is located on a quiet country lane and is very private. It is in a great location for exploring both the English Riviera Coast, and the Jurassic Coast. There is a large supermarket and numerous mini supermarkets within 5 miles of the property and there are in excess of 30 ( We lost count ) pubs and restaurants within 10 miles.We loved our stay, and will return again soon."
