"Stayed here on a number of occasions. Always find the mattress too hard and the pillows too soft and the road noise a little distracting. Amenities are good, overall general aesthetics are good and clean but notice some areas need more focus on cleaning and maintenance throughout the property. Food, drink and staff assistance are excellent."

"Once I was oriented to Hull, the location was good. That neighborhood was generally quiet and very close to Pearson Park and the shops and restaurants in Princes Street. Public transport is very good, the hotel being on the major bus lines. Bare bones would describe the amenities, but the most objectionable were the same parties who made abundant noise returning to their rooms two nights in a row at 1:45 am. Hotel reception has no staffing at that hour, so can't enforce quiet time for those who wish to sleep. There are some shops nearby for breakfast items. Some people might say you get what you pay for, but the Dorchester could do better."

"Was disappointed with my stay overall. The staff member who checked me in was lovely however when I got to the room it was very hot and smelt old and fusty. Had to open the window and leave it open the entire time I was staying in the room to try and cool the room and not smell. Room was clean enough but the decor was tired and needed a lick of paint"

Millfields hotel

"Stayed for one night as it was close to the Princess Diana hospital where I was visiting a patient. Room was pretty basic, had a double bed, a TV, basic tea/coffee facilities, bathroom. Surprisingly decent number of plug sockets available to charge devices. Decor needs a serious revamp! Curtains couldn't close properly either. No air-con in the hotel so had to have the window open and a fan going. Although the hotel has free Wi-Fi available, it doesn't actually reach to the part of the hotel where I was being boarded, so good job I was only there one night and didn't need it much! To get to the room felt very odd - taken through a set of double doors and led past the indoor squash courts, then through more doors before being told to go up some stairs and turn down a small corridor. Old fashioned keys and no auto-locking on doors, and when leaving the hotel for any length of time, you had to leave your key at reception."
