"A great place to stay"

"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"Das Haus war sehr schön und groß, der Pool sehr gut um sich nach einem langen Tag kurz abzukühlen. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub und die Unterkunft hat sehr zur Entspannung beigetragen. "We stayed in one of the gites. The surroundings are stunning- distant views across the Herault in a wonderfully renovated building. Autumn chestnuts all around and calm surrounds. About 15 mins drive from pretty Olargues. Le Chene backs on to another gite and when this was occupied, we could hear everything they were doing.
