"The property was okay - it is on a main road so it can get quite noisy. The only negative we had was when we checked in. We were told that the machines were not working and we would have to pay in cash. We were told that the owner was looking to sell and she was only wanting cash. We did not enough in US dollars so the management wanted basically the equivalent in Euros. It was late and there was no point in haggling as there were no other places with any room because we were taking a cruise from La Romana port. We had to give in but it was, in my opinion, extortion. We were not given the room unless we paid up front and in full. Held hostage before our trip even began. Not a nice way to start a vacation. The room was ok. Basic but clean. The staff was friendly."

The owner and host Jean was exceptional with prompt communication and took care of all our requests. His staffs outstanding service went above and beyond. Chef Juan Pablo prepared several exceptional meals during our stay. The location is ideal for close beach club access and centrally located to all amenities offered by Casa de Campo."
