"We visited for a week as a family with our 14 yo son. La Rochelle is a great place to bring kids. The hotel is very well placed for the Old Port, restaurants, the beach and other attractions, all very walkable - we visited the Aquarium and the Maritime museum and did the Fort Boyard boat trip. We had the room for 4 with the balcony - which was a bonus, though there is some other outside space too. "Nice place in an excellent location. We have stayed here before and it seems the prices have gone up and the rooms have got smaller. Room was small but adequate. Toilet had a timed light that went off after 10 seconds! We spoke to the owner who said he knew it was annoying but didn’t do anything to change it… breakfast was poor, as was the housekeeping. Front of house stafff were excellent! Lots of art and lovely courtyard! Probably a bit expensive but this is La Rochelle. Will have to up its...
