"This was hands down one of the best hotel stays we've had anywhere. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and had excellent recommendations and history on the town. The room itself was beautiful, modern but classic, comfortable, with excellent views. The breakfast was lovely with a pianist to make the environment great. The hotel is in an area where you can't drive and they made it so simple to park and get transportation to the hotel. We were truly sad to leave and can't wait for our next visit. We would go back to Matera JUST to stay here"

One of the staff members walked out to find us and bring us to the hotel. Then, because it was late, he called a local restaurant and asked them to keep the kitchen open while we hurried down to have dinner. "

"Traditional hotel with parking, ideally placed for exploring sassi. Communal areas could do with updating but rooms have all mod cons. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly helpful staff."
