Ascending Le Pylon near La Grave, France. This is a Category 3 (French) ice climb up a two pitch frozen waterfall. The whole area is a steep sided valley with many waterfalls like this which are safely frozen over the winter months. La Grave is a small village which is a Mecca for this type of activity along with ski-mountaineering. In the summer cycling takes over. #iceclimbing #mountaineering #lagrave #climbing

"We all enjoyed our stay at the chalet and had a great week skiing in Serre Chevalier. We were a group of 3 families and the chalet suited us well. Plenty of space and well equipped for cooking at home. We enjoyed using the raclette machines on our final night. Plenty of space for skis and boots etc. We loved it. "

"Unique, eccentric, old fashioned accommodation, crammed full of every conceivable contraption and odds and ends! We had great fun there with a log fire in the chilly mountain air and many family board games, cooking utensils and a good espresso machine. Showers aren't great but there's enough warm water. Definitely worth the money but don't expect too much luxury! "
