"I had a confirmed booking and when we arrived at 11.30pm I was told via an intercom at the door that the hotel was full.The person talking to me cut me off and wouldn't open the door. I had emailed twice through Expedia and then tried to ring up about 5 times about arriving late but had not got any replies before I left the UK.Luckily I had a tent and Google which found me a camping in the middle of the night. Incidentally Google insisted on sending me through tiny little streets in the middle...

"We had a great time staying in this amazing house. The lintel over the front door indicates it was built in 1776, but step inside and it’s uncompromisingly modernist – the glass staircase is particularly exciting, and it’s fun to shower in the middle of a big room. The house is very spacious, so the 6 of us were able to spread out. It is situated on the edge of the village, so very quiet, and with great views over the countryside. "Sunny as expected - you cannot miss it during the season! Charming traditional cottage. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Well equipped- we really didn’t miss anything! The air conditioner is not working but the ventilation is quite ingenious in every room. The wifi is great - from experience this is rare! Nice pool- maintenances by a professional twice per week! Residential area so quite but don’t be surprised by neighbors willing to show you some sympathy accros the walls… One day...
