"Absolutely wonderful property and we would definitely recommend. We did not get chance to visit the town as we were visiting for a wedding but the town looks lovely with lots of restaurants and shops, all within walking distance. The property was spotlessly clean and modern. We also had treats left, which were greatly appreciated. Communication and instructions were all clear. Thank you very much, five stars all round."

"Although there was on site restaurant it was closed for bookings and only take away Saturday and Sunday, then beginning of new week it did not open until Thursday and was fully booked both remaining days even though tried booking for Friday on Thursday. Of course there are cooking facilities in the room but when you book a week away you would like ro be able to have a meal without having to drive. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay in a lovely place."

"This was our second holiday at High Bield - we stayed 2 years ago. It is a very special place to stay as it is in a wonderful location. We only used the car twice during the one week we stayed because all the walks and cycle rides could be done from the house. Windermere station was only a short drive away so we could easily pick up family arriving from London. Weather wasn’t what we expected in early June - warm for the first couple of days then much cooler with rain for the rest of the week...
