Langley Castle Hotel

"We were very disappointed that our room was not actually in the castle - but 100yds away in an outbuilding. Infact only 9 of the rooms are actually in the castle. This was not clear at booking. The room was reasonably clean- but we had no Tv remote and the bathroom was looking pretty tired- needed redecorating. Evening meal was very nice and a tour of the castle itself was amazing."

"Fabulous hotel with good rooms. The breakfast is fabulous - amazing choice of breakfast items. We had two evening meals at the hotel and these were great and good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Large car park round the back of the hotel which even boasts some of the wall from the fort on Hadrian's wall. Also there is a section of the wall in the hotel reception. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Carlisle."

"Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. The rooms are dated. We had the room with 3 single beds in it. Two were comfortable and one was too soft. No sheets to cover with only a comforter. No AC!!! Only a small fan.The room was kind of stuffy."

"My husband, our pup and I had the pleasure of staying at the Halston for one night, and I wish we had booked for longer. The apartment/hotel rooms are large, far more generous than the photos, and very well equipped for both long and short stays. The staff provided a welcome package on arrival, complete with dog treats, crumpets, jam, butter, milk and coffee – which was so appreciated after a day of travel. The space is quiet, clean, comfortable and very conveniently located to the train station. With good restaurants on site and a nice outdoor area for a pint – it is just a lovely hotel."

"Had a great experience staying Arkale Lodge! The hosts were very hospitable and were able to address all our needs. The breakfast was freshly made to order and really good. The hosts were dealing with a personal emergency but they ensured that did not affect our stay in any way. Strongly recommend stay here!"
