We thoroughly enjoyed wandering its streets and soaking in its unique atmosphere. Here's a local tip: if you need groceries, head to the Mercantile for better prices. Our main adventure was exploring Great Sand Dunes National Park, a true natural wonder just an hour away. We also experienced the hot springs in the area. Hopper Hot Springs offered a lively atmosphere with a large pool, perfect for families. However, for a more relaxing experience, we opted for the adults-only Greenhouse with its delicious food (entrance fee applies). If you prefer a smaller, less commercial hot spring experience, Joyful Journey might be a good alternative."
