"We spent two relaxing nights in Baca Grande, a charming community nestled within Crestone. Our host, Merrin, was fantastic – always prompt and helpful with any questions. The house was perfectly equipped with a beautiful patio and stunning mountain vista. Crestone, a short drive away, is a quaint old mining town brimming with character. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering its streets and soaking in its unique atmosphere. Here's a local tip: if you need groceries, head to the Mercantile for better prices. Our main adventure was exploring Great Sand Dunes National Park, a true natural wonder just an hour away. We also experienced the hot springs in the area. Hopper Hot Springs offered a lively atmosphere with a large pool, perfect for families. However, for a more relaxing experience, we opted for the adults-only Greenhouse with its delicious food (entrance fee applies). If you prefer a smaller, less commercial hot spring experience, Joyful Journey might be a good alternative."

"The Serene and Spacious Dome lives up to its name! Spent just a night here with my pup, and would've loved to extend my stay! The location is gorgeous, and the windows and outdoor area are situated so as to make the most of the stunning scenery. The inside area is spacious and comfortable, and everything was clean and well-appointed - one of the reviews mentioned that the kitchen was somewhat sparsely equipped, so I brought a bunch of cooking supplies which I ended up not needing b/c most of it was already there (the pots are not large so if you're cooking for a larger group they wouldn't be big enough, but otherwise it had everything that most people would need). My only issue was getting the door to lock, but the owner got back to me right away and was easily able to instruct me on what to do. As another reviewer mentioned, Great Sand Dunes is about a one hour drive away, but in the end I thought this was an advantage b/c the Crestone area where the dome is located is, in my opinion, a nicer place to stay overnight. I would recommend this place to anyone, and hope to return myself at some point as well!"

"If you are looking to get away from it all, unplug, unwind, or just see the millions of stars, this is your place! Being able to bring our 2 dogs with us was just the bonus we needed to book. The price, including all fees was reasonable and beat out other homes we looked into. Ted communicated all the details we needed before we even left home. He answered questions in a timely manner. Everything we needed was provided! Board games, card games, soap, shampoo, appliances, cookware, even a washer and dryer. 15 minutes to 2 different grocery stores. 1 hour to the Sand Dunes or Alamosa if you need some bigger city items or entertainment."
