"We stay here every Summer for a few days while we climb the tall peaks in the area. Could not ask for a better base camp for an alpine start and a comfortable end to a day in the high country."

Pinewood Family Retreat House with Game Room and Pool Table
8/10 Good
"house was very clean and comfortable to stay in. For some reason the ceiling fan in the master bedroom didn't work and that room gets no air flow at night like the two guest rooms and family room. Owner was sorry for it, I understand things break, all in all, it was a great place. Also, missing the smoke detector in the master bedroom. Location in description I believe said only 20 minutes from Great Sand Dunes NP which is actually about an hour. I had already mapped and knew, so didn't hurt me to much but we used this house as a base for going white water rafting in Salida as well, and it was centrally located for both those two adventures, so it worked great for us. Cabin | Geodome | Hot Tub | Fire Pit | Stargazing Pergola | Great Sand Dunes NP
10/10 Excellent
"Stay was great! We only spent one night as we traveled through this part of Colorado on our way to the Sand Dunes. Only thing we did not like was the mosquitos! Not much a host can do about that though! "
