Top Kirkland Lake Hotel Reviews

Prospectors Inn

Prospectors Inn

8/10 Good
"I had a very good stay at the Prospector’s Inn in Kirkland Lake. I originally booked a one bedroom, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was given a huge three bedroom suite at no extra charge. It was far more space than I needed and offered excellent value. The staff were fantastic. Even though they were off site when I arrived, they immediately came back and the check-in process was easy, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help. As a motorcyclist, I really appreciated that they let me park my bike right outside my window under the overhang. It was a thoughtful gesture that gave me extra peace of mind. The suite was clean and comfortable. The only minor issue was a lingering smell that reminded me of cooking oil or French fries. It wasn’t a major concern, and I suspect it may have been related to the third room to repair a roof leak prior to my stay. Overall, I had a good experience. The unexpected upgrade, the clean accommodations, and the outstanding customer service made this an easy place to recommend."

"The office was a bit complicated to find when we arrived. The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The suite encompassed a well equipped kitchen complete with full size refrigerator/freezer, stove with oven, countertops and sink. Perfect for cooking our meals. In addition to a large living room, dining area, and bath, there were two large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Well worth the money. Recommend it for either a short or long stay. We were there 3 nights."
