"Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return."

"Excellent location. Our first room was outside the building had a bad smell."

"There was plenty room to park and the staff were welcoming and polite. Having booked a superior room we were disappointed that we had been allocated an attic bedroom with a small very window. Although the room itself was quite large the plaster and paint work was in need of some restoration. With regards to breakfast, it was ‘over complicated’ it would have been much easier to have a menu and then choose what you want at the table. The food itself self was too fancy just serve good quality...

Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to...

"Staff were amazing 10/10 Food amazing Very accommodating Rooms says soundproof but wasn’t and corridors smell of the food, overall though we had a lovely time and used as a base and we enjoyed the food they served 10/10"

And unlike many hotels they have a full suite of Spa facilities (pool, jacuzzi (incl outside), steam room and sauna) However Issues: 1. Reception staff are a little stone faced. And it came as a shock that they wanted a deposit of £50 per day I was staying, something that was not made clear to me previously and took a large chunk out of my vacation budget 2. website shows some rooms with a pine...
