"Absolutely the perfect week staying here! Everything was clean and smelled very clean. The faucet & hose outside was very helpful to keep sand out of the main areas. The sunroom was absolutely so cute. There is so streaming services available. But there is a dvd/vcr & a cd player and lots of games and cards to keep night time fun. It was the perfect space for my boyfriend & I. I would say it’s also perfect for a family with young children. The walk to the beach is not far. Probably about 10-20 minutes between getting up and over the dunes! Definitely recommend! Don’t hesitate!"

"We had a really nice week at Gracie's Cottage. Avon has become our favorite spot in the OBX and the location was perfect for us and our plan to hang around Hatteras Island. The beds were super comfy, kitchen nice and modernized, and the a.c. was great on the really hot and muggy afternoons/evenings after the beach. The mosquitoes were our only real issue, which obviously has nothing to do with the host. Just something to be aware of when staying on the sound side. The amount of deer we saw around the cottage was super cool for the kids to see. For the price, location, and the amenities, along with hospitality from the host, we will definitely be back next year!"

"I can’t say enough about our stay in Avon at the McMullen property! Our large family had a magical week of swimming sound-side, kayaking in the sound, family meals and games, days on the gorgeous beaches, learning to surf, and enjoying amazing sunsets every night. We even had front row seats to the meteor showers! Nat is the most responsive host we’ve ever had and she answered all of our questions right away. We had a family photo shoot at sunset and got some priceless photos. The property is expansive, well maintained, and includes everything you need for a beautiful vacation. We would absolutely stay there again!"
