"Lovely, helpful staff and great location. for mid-journey. stay over"

"Lovely place and rooms were great. Some of staff didn’t know how to check us in It’s a pub, and luckily we had booked for food… the pub was very food dominated and wouldn’t have felt comfortable just drinking… food was good and place lovely though"

"clean, comfortable room, comfortable bed, helpful, friendly staff, good breakfast"

"I enjoyed everything I hope to come back again"

"Good size room, clean and comfortable. Really helpful staff."

"You need to watch out of any events hosted in their 1st floor party hall. The music and base is so loud that we could hear on 3rd floor & base made the wall vibrate. The staff tried to offer us a different room after few complaints but it was 1030pm and didnt want to move out. The party goes on till midnight and my wife having migraine made our experience worse."

"We received a friendly welcome as we arrived including suggestions where to eat locally as onsite restaurant closed on a Sunday. The room was clean and fresh. The bathroom floor tiles were loose but this did not detract from an enjoyable experience. Breakfast was good. Would stay again if passing this way in the future."

"great location, characterful old property"

"All the staff were excellent and very helpful."

"It was fine throughout"

"It was a charming old style Country house. The room was elegantly furnished. Tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely fluffy towels. Heating in the room and blackout curtains. Free WiFi very useful"

"George and his staff were excellent, very helpful and lovely hosts. Our top floor room was fabulous, with a huge comfy bed and roll top bath, luxury! Would definitely stay again."
