River Teign floodplain above Teign Bridge. Seen from the Teigngrace lane below Mount Pleasant. The river is over 500m away beyond old and new field boundaries and the line of the Stover Canal/disused railway/Templer Way. Out of sight beyond the river is an old claypit on the Broadway site behind which passing sunshine lights a hill of clay waste in the course of construction in SX8673 (as far as I can judge). The shaping is more sensitive than that of the older mounds at Newbridge and Preston but it is an intrusion nonetheless, overbearing in the vicinities of New Cross (right of centre) and 'Key Transport Pond'.

Field by the Templar Way A tree by the gate from this was taken casts its shadow across this field. The unnamed wood on the right, which straddles a northing gridline, contains the source of a small stream which feeds into a leat in Bovey Tracey. The buildings, at Five Wyches Farm, are in SX8078, and the distant hill is at Shaptor.

Field by Rowden Cross. Taken close to 120111, which commands extensive views westwards. The tramlines are running parallel to the lane to Kingsteignton, on the right. The houses on the left are around Colway Cross, in SX8974. The view beyond includes part of Newton Abbot.
