"We stayed 2 nights in an estate room just me and the hubby, then our adult kids and my parents joined us Friday to Monday for my 50th birthday and we stayed in a four bedroom valley view lodge with a hot tub. We were very lucky as had sun the whole time we were there. Room was lovely, lodge was amazing. Lodge was fabulous inside and out and the views were amazing. Stunning views everywhere, the whole place is so well kept and beautiful. Activities for those who want them, we tried archery. Inside pool was large and nice but parts of it could do with a little tlc, however I wouldn’t mark it down for that because everything else was so good. Outside pool wasn't open yet. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Holly on reception was brilliant and super helpful and Shelby and James that did the archery with us were really lovely. Will definitely stay again. "

"Excellent accommodation. Well appointed and clean. Our only comment would be that it was missing some small but necessary items, such as salt & pepper and some dishwashing up cloths. Small but needed as the little village store had only pepper. Other than that it was a wonderful visit and a great Pub in the square. People were very helpful as well. Thank you "

"Comfortable cottage in picturesque village with handy pub and village shop a few steps away.Cottage is thoughtfully furnished with comfortable beds and sofas, and thoughtful touches such as tissues, ornaments etc.Very practical place to stay for visiting all areas of Devon without the price of a seaside property. "

"All really good apart from parts of the bathroom looking tired and the shower leaking. Also could do with a better shower head. "

"The house was cosy .space outside was amazing with walk in woods wildlife pond. Garden was well equipped with plenty of seating. Peaceful location. Host thought of everything to make our stay a place from home . On hand if need be (but not feeling as if being watched ) Dogs had plenty to sniff everytime we walked around the woods and field.Absolutely amazing just what we needed."

"Its not often that you find a property that exceeds your expectations, but this certainly did. The lodge was beautiful. Extremely spacious and felt like real luxury from the minute you walk in. It was nicely furnished throughout and a super kitchen with everything you could need. Bravo to whoever was in charge of kitting out and furnishings. Your attention to detail is exceptional and definitely noted and appreciated. The bedrooms were spacious with super comfy beds and the addition of complimentary robes and slippers all added to the feeling of being somewhere very luxurious. Of course the icing on the cake was our own private hot tub which was absolutely amazing in the evening as we were lucky enough to have a clear sky and a first class view of the stars as there was virtually no light pollution. It was magical."

"Nice clean rooms had to go to the old dairy directly opposite for breakfast as the pub wasn’t open Monday or Tuesday which wasn’t a problem. Lovely area and people really friendly "
