"Best spa i have ever been to. Been to alot of spa's up the north of england but this one blows them all away, low wood offers a budget and more exclusive packages that suit your needs. All areas were clean to a high standard and the on site resturant and bar are a bonus. Breakfast was more than what most places offer. "

"Very spacious and clean rooms with excellent tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but please, three teabags for a room for two? Leisure facilities were excellent and quiet when we visited. The car park is tight, so larger vehicles beware. Walking distance from town centre."

"Stayed in a room on the second (top) floor. Really comfortable bed, nice big bathroom and a good shower. Was quite hot due to the weather so needed the very efficient fan on. Very convenient for Lake Windermere and Ambleside. Would stay again. No negatives on the hotel, other than the outside fish pond looks like it needs a good clean out and a filter for the benefit of the fish. "

"This Hotel building has soooo much character! It was a true delight and the staff were all so friendly and upbeat! Beth from the bar/dining room was especially fun with a great sense of humor! She made our stay even more enjoyable! Shebby (sp?), Waffi (sp?)) and Nevin (sp?)were also very fun and pleasant! We will never forget the wonderful three days that we spent here and can’t recommend this place enough! "
