"We stayed for two weeks in The Kingsbury and it was incredible. It was our first time in Sri Lanka and we chose to stay in The Kingsbury because we were attending a wedding there. The service was amazing, the staff cannot do enough for you; holding doors open for you before you get to them, wishing you well every time you see them, cooking off-the-menu items to suit dietary requirements. The food was delicious in all the restaurants we tried. We booked to have breakfast included but we had a few excursions planned which meant leaving before 6am. We spoke to reception and they arranged for us to have a take away breakfast. Our towels didn’t get replaced one of the days but if that’s all we have to complain about in two weeks, that’s pretty good going. We would highly recommend The Kingsbury if you are planning on visiting Sri Lanka."

"Love the place. Although it is a hostel, it felt more like a hotel. Was given a large family room, with a private bathroom which was perfect for my wife and 2 kids. The location is very convenient. Walking distance to 3 major attractions in Colombo. The only drawback There are no places to eat in the area."

"I arrived late to the hotel and the staff was there ready to welcome me and get me all settled in. They were super helpful and always attentive. The restaurant was delicious, the room was massive and clean, the pool was relaxing and the hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful. It’s a hidden gem in Colombo. "

"The staff really shine at this establishment. I felt welcomed upon arrival and helped with scheduling my check-out/airport transportation. The beach area is just stunning and I will definitely return to take advantage of the pools and seating areas."
