"Hotel was clean. Our room was very clean, and comfortable. We stayed for three days because it was clean. Great breakfast options. In parts like the edges of the dining area the carpet was ripped and the hotel is a bit on the older side. Needs more maintenance. But otherwise our room was clean and enjoyed our stay. "
"The hotel needs to update its facilities because it is already too old. It does not live up to it’s 4-star hotel status. We booked it hoping that we will have a wonderful experience in a 4-star hotel, but we were very disappointed with the quality of room we had. "Beautiful and interesting home with different areas and a little courtyard inside. Carvings and tiles. They had an old radio, record player etc. wonderful if you want to see an old Kotagede type house from the inside. There's a bookshop attached to the house and it has a good selection of books, including Indonesian books translates into English, a section on Javanese culture, and political books like Gramsci etc.
