"Great atmosphere, super smooth and easy to settle in. Very cosy room with curtains across the bed so felt like own little private space, only concern was the getting up and down from the top bunk as there wasn’t much to hold onto but was told by staff that this is a new design and still in process of being rolled out.
Overall brilliant stay and would definitely be back"

"Excellent place to stay with a family, our 3,6 and 11 year olds loved the outdoor spaces, the gardens and play areas are fantastic and the lounge areas are also great for families. The room was a good size and the dining room had great food at decent prices, esp as kids eat for £1! You can walk directly from the hostel to many different paths into countryside or dovedale. Our family loved this place, I highly recommend it."

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. This location was perfect! It allowed us to stay out of the city in a more relaxed and less commercial inn, so that we could truly get a feel for the area. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived around 9pm that evening. We took advantage of the restaurant one evening and my sons and...

If you're seeking the quintessetial English county location, this is it. The scenery is beautiful. There is a wonderful pub and restaurant, where the food is actually exceptional. Our room was fantastic, clean and authentically English. Well-appointed with a comfortable 4-poster bed. The Bull Head Inn seems like a bit of a fairy tale, but is not at all contrived. Truly authentic English charm.

Everything was as it should be. Had to pay £10 for shuttle bus which was unexpected. I didn't have to pay this when I stayed at other similar nearby hotels. Need to take this into consideration when comparing prices.

We enjoyed a four night stay here on arrival from Australia, for a family wedding. We had booked a family room. Two queen sized beds. The breakfast was a good choice and standard with full English and continental choices. We ate twice at the Bistrot. Excellent French cuisine. My husband is French and rated it highly. My parents stayed in another room and unfortunately on arrival my Mum was ill . The staff went to great efforts to make sure she went to the emergency and showed a high level of...
