Tithe Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with fully fitted wardrobes and dressing table. The bed is beautifully dressed with luxury linen and towels for the highest comfort and relaxation.

The shower room is also on this floor and has shower cubicle with electric shower, WC and wash hand basin.

Upstairs there is an open plan lounge and kitchen area with breakfast bar. High beamed ceilings add to the traditional character of the cottage. This is a nice bright room with lovely co-ordinating fabrics that give a very homely feel. Facilities include TV, DVD player, docking station, radio, comfortable leather settee, fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave etc.

This is an ideal cottage for couples seeking a location that provides peace and privacy yet is just a stones throw from the town centre. Guests can enjoy an extra treat with complimentary access to the fabulous Spa at Underscar.

Lovely little cottage

My daughter and i stayed here during may half term and loved everything about it - the cottage was really sweet, very clean and right in the centre of town but still quiet. Absolutely loved it, would definitely recommend

A Perfect Home-from-Home – Every Time

This was my fifth or sixth stay at Tithe Cottage, and it continues to be absolutely perfect every time. The cottage is always spotless, warm, and beautifully maintained – a real home-from-home in the heart of Keswick. The peaceful location, just a short walk from the town centre, with easy access to walks, shops, and restaurants. Whether I’m heading out for a hike or just relaxing, Tithe Cottage has everything we need. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at Tithe cottage, it was in an excellent location with all amenities handy in the centre of Keswick. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple, the owners have thought of everything to make you feel welcome and at home, we had an excellent sleep in the bed probably one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time, we would highly recommend the cottage and and area and hope to return soon.

Attractive, warm and comfortable

It rained for the whole week we were in Keswick but we had a fabulous time in the beautiful countryside and with the Tithe Cottage as our base. It is perfectly located for public transport, the supermarket and all the attractions of Keswick. It is attractive, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it.

A great cottage for 2 people

This was our second stay at Tithe Cottage. It's ideal for two people & our two small dogs. The location & the allocated parking space are excellent. The cottage is comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Pasta bowls would have been handy, otherwise the kitchen was well equipped with a range of glasses & equipment.

Central Location a Plus

Tithe Cottage was a comfortable cottage for the single traveller, as rooms were small, but definitely adequate. The kitchen contained all I required. The bed was comfortable, as was the sitting room furniture. The small tablet contained the information necessary to operate the equipment within the cottage, eg washing machine and hot water unit. The only real criticism is that the allocated parking space is really too small for anything but the smallest car. The location is excellent; a short walk to Keswick’s central district, with a variety of restaurants/pubs/cafes available and the Co-Op over the road for shopping.

Great little cottage in the heart of Keswick

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Tithe Cottage. Yes the property is small, but it's cosy and provided all the comforts we needed. The location is perfect, only a 2-3 minute walk to the main square. With a CoOp over the road opposite, you don't need to use the car at all if you're not intending to venture out of Keswick. Only word of caution (which we had read about) is the parking spaces. The space directly outside the front door is really only big enough for the smallest of cars. There is an overflow car park behind which is bigger, but access under the arch is very tight. All in all though, we had a brilliant weekend with lots of hiking, pub visits and chatting with friendly strangers. See you again soon!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Tithe Cottage. The location, cost, and amenities were all perfect. The spa voucher was an additional brilliant bonus. I would definitely stay again. My only critique is that the cottage is in dire need of a deep clean, especially the bedroom. I pulled the bedside table forward so it was more accessible in the night, and it was thick of dust behind it. The cottage is small so a deep clean would not take long.

Tithe Cottage

Iv stayed at Tithe Cottage numerous times now over the past 8 years and always found it comfortable clean and tidy. Bed is comfortable after a day on the fells. The cottage has everything you need with the bonus of free parking at the cottage saving you walking with your luggage. Iv currently further stays already booked.

Excellent location

Small but perfectly formed would sum up this cottage. Very comfortable with every convenience provided. The cottage is in the centre of Keswick opposite the Co-Op and has a parking space which is very useful. We would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Centrally located well loved property

A bijou cottage right in the centre of town but wonderfully quiet. Equipment is ample for 2 and despite being compact has all you need. The welcome pack is a brilliant added bonus. Office replies very quickly and efficiently to any enquiries. We would wholly recommend staying here. Only a fiesta sized car can get into parking slot if neighbours car is present as there is very tight turning.

Thank you for a lovely stay at Tithe cottage. A lovely bonus was having complimentary access to the Spa at Underscar. The location was amazing - just a minutes walk into town, and right next door to a supermarket. Its hard to think of negatives, but outside there is a high up drainage pipe coming from the Supermarket which gushes rainwater out onto the floor when it rains, and is quite loud as when it rains it rains! And the pipe doesnt have direct ground drainage so hits the paving slabs. Also there was a broken gate at the back and side of the property, which banged in the wind. The small court yard area in front of the cottage would look nice with some green / flowers and a sweep. But this is all feed back on the outside of the property. Inside we cannot find fault. The cottage was well equipped. We also liked the connection to community with the food bank donation suggestion for any left over items. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Third stay here. Love the location with town centre and food shops on the doorstep. Really nice to have access to Oxley's spa after a day on the hills. Car parking very convenient - need to use overflow space if car is bigger than VW Golf.

Cosy accommodation with great location

Really enjoyed my stay for Christmas 2022. Nice thoughtful touches on arrival, complimentary gift and fizz appreciated but even better was the effort on decorations which made it feel like a home from home. Excellent communication regarding the stay and friendly and helpful team on hand for queries. Cottage is small but very well laid out and has very good facilities. Exactly as photos and description. The washer-dryer was a useful additional feature and a godsend after muddy lakeland hikes. Location was perfect. Central with the main town supermarket and bus station 1 minute's walk away and the town centre just 2 minutes walk. Perfect if like me you don't have a car. If I were to nitpick...a dog bed would have been useful and better lighting is needed in the bathroom especially in the shower area. Overall, an excellent place and would not only recommend but am planning to stay again.

Perfect town location

Tucked behind the Main Street but not on the road (so very quiet) it’s a great bolthole for one couple, dog friendly, secure. Parking is tight but free which is a bonus and the spa is nice - and also free and about 5mins away

Perfect snug cottage

We had an amazing time for a few nights. Everything is catered for and all essentials plus more have been thought about. The cleaning team left everything immaculate. Location is central and a perfect base for local amenities and exploring. As noted up front the parking space is very tight, which is the only pit fall.

A lovely few days at Tithe Cottage

We had a 3 night mid-week stay at Tithe Cottage. A small but perfectly comfortable and practical accommodation, everything you need if you want to cook yourself. The location is spot on, for Keswick centre and walking to the lake. The cottage could benefit from having a hair dryer (or I couldn't find it) and the parking space is small and awkward to get into, but neither of which would stop us returning.

Fantastic week in Keswick

We stayed the last week in June. The location is perfect we could have not used the car for a week had we not wanted to go out and about a couple of days. Comfy and clean and equipped with everything you need. An excellent week with excellent weather!
