"Never been at a hostel before and after saying here for 4 days, from here on out I’ll be staying at hostels during long vacation periods in big cities because they are incredibly affordable."

"Great location, very accessible. Toilettries were provided. Rooms remind more jail cells, no windows, no solid ceiling, no AC, fan only. I was able to see the light through the mesh board on my ceiling and I heard very clearly staff talking at the reception. Other than small room size condition of the bathroom is not the best. I took shower, it was no shelf inside to put your soap, ceiling was loft type with exposed piping and dripping to the floor. Hot water boiler was a nice surprise. I would...

"I stayed at the Local many times in the past and just recently it’s nice hostel close to every thing like train station,dining places,shopping, Quiet area and the price is affordable ."

"Overall a great experience. The pod was comfortable with amenities like a mirror, plug sockets and a towel. It was also quiet. I was surprised that I shared a room with a woman considering I booked a male room but neither of us seemed to mind. The free bagels and coffee in the morning was a bonus too. Good location to the subway and Central Park. I would return."

"Basic, and basically all you need to get a good nights sleep. Rooms with windows out the front will have the sweet clanking song of metro trains screeching around the corners to keep them company at night, so if you’re a light sleeper, request back of house. Bring a lock for the lockers if you like to lock things away. Decent kitchen. Restaurants in the area aren’t great, but it’s easy to get where you’re goin with the metro just across the street!"

"My stay was a good one. The family is warm and welcoming yet professional. The house is quite large and my rear of the house room (#5) was spacious, secure and comfortable. I am sensitive to noise and always travel with earplugs; they came in handy as the room is right beside the kitchen. Not terribly noisy, but noticeable to me without earplugs.
