The free tea, coffee and pastries (and breads) were above our expectations and helped to set us up well for our days out in the city. The range of board games and books was also a pleasant surprise. The staff were helpful and polite from our arrival and were always willing to help. The room had a good range of amenities and very enjoyable shower. We did find the space in the room a little limited and the pillows were too hard for our personal liking. These are minor niggles and overall had a great time at this hotel."

The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite, and respectful—top-notch service throughout. The hotel is located right in the heart of Kyoto, making it easy to walk to nearby shops, restaurants, and attractions. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I visit Kyoto.
