"We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely resort for 1 week and it was a lucky week since we avoided most of the rain! We had a lot of sun and a lot of fun and relaxation. The views were spectacular and since it was our honeymoon they upgraded us to the sunset room! Which had more privacy and it was just beautiful. The staff here have all been so kind and always have a smile on their face. They had 3 amazing restaurants and 2 bars and we were always fed and kept full! We love sushi and had amazing food at the Japanese restaurant and had excellent service. Our waitress Shanika was so kind and helpful during our stay, along with everyone else who served us this week. We also had lovely excursions such as the dolphin tour, the sunset boat, and even swam with huge nurse sharks! This trip is one to remember! Our private butler, Manu, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. We would definitely love to come back here! We had the time of our lives! We had great food, great hospitality and unforgettable views."

"Velassaru is about a 20-30 min boat ride from Mele. The boat they use is big, air conditioned and very comfortable so don't worry about being sea sick! The property is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it truly is a little piece of paradise. We stayed in the sunset side bungalows, #308 over the water, they are completely private with their own pool and a much needed breeze. We bought the full board package which included buffet breakfast, ala cart lunch and buffet dinner. All were delicious, we were very impressed. Our flight did not leave until 11pm at night so they very kindly let us stay in our room until 7pm, 12pm is their usual check out time. We arrived at 10pm unfortunately, due to the weather were unable to get to the hotel so they took us to their sister property close by. We were then taken the next day at 10:30am to Velassaru. We rode to the hotel with a group of travel agents who had been to Valassaru before, they said it was their favorite property in the Maldives.....I am beyond impressed with the property and would highly recommend it."

"We had an excellent stay. The resort is adult only and quiet. Food was outstanding and the staff was incredible. Guests have access to Dighu resort which is larger and offers more variety. I would highly recommend the hotel."

"Great hotel, from the warm welcome to last farewell everything was smooth and highly enjoyable. We loved the fact the whole island is set in lush greenery and i feels very private despite full occupancy. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. We stayed on half board basis and there was always something to choose from. I am sure there are better resorts for snorkeling but if you you are patient you find some good marine life as well (we did snorkel on the surf beach behind the reception) which we later discovered we were not supposed to do but it was the best. One thing I’d consider a downside is the restrictions that may feel ovewhelming, like the kids club that only allows playstation for kids only between noon and 2pm, swimming pool opened only till 6pm and the use or only certain beaches for snorkeling."
