"Do not let the exterior fool you. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are relatively spacious compared to other European hotel rooms, you have a private bath, there's no a/c but the windows open and there's a fan. The breakfast buffet was minimalist, but there is a communal kitchen to which you have access 24/7. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is located a block from a grocery store and less than a mile from Gamla Stan. The hostess is incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough good things...

"Great stop at this excellent hotel. Friendly staff who were most helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and covered the basic needs for a stop. Excellent bed. Breakfast was also first rate with plenty of choice. A good hotel which we would use again."

"Breakfast is outstanding. Awesome staff everyday that went above and beyond. Even stored our luggage after we checked out so we could tour Kalmar Castle. My personal favourite was the power of those showers in the bathroom! Holly cow it was like having a massage while showering. Very impressed. Lol"
