Create your next memory-making desert trip with the Mustard Door house as your home base. Located in a desirable neighborhood in Joshua Tree, the Mustard Door is less than a 10 min. drive to the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Hike, rock climb, picnic… and enjoy the wonders of the park's vast wilderness . The house is also about a 5-min. drive to downtown for discovering good food and souvenirs to take back with you. Great views, private/fenced backyard, explore the desert.

The Mustard Door is a spacious 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom home tucked in the Friendly Hills Joshua Tree neighborhood.

Each of the 3 bedrooms has a ceiling fan, a desk and a chair, luggage rack, hooks, and a cooling/heating unit that can easily be adjusted to your liking. The Master Suite has outdoor access to the back patio.

The kitchen is fully-equipped with a Keurig/Nespresso machine, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, oven, stove, microwave, pots/pans, and plates/utensils/cups/glasses.

Find a comfortable spot inside and outside of the house to relax and unwind:

+ the couch to stare at the sky from the front window; best place to also spot pigeons/quails/rabbits that reside in the neighborhood

+ the day bed in the Master Suite to curl up with a good book/magazine

+ on the rug for a round of board games or two

+ the outdoor seating area for your morning coffee or tea

+ the hammock under the pine trees to lull you to a siesta

+ the large dining space inside or custom-made solid dining table outside for enjoying a nice meal

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful stay, the house is beautiful and perfect for an evening relaxing after hiking. Highly recommend!

Fun family retreat

Everything we needed for a perfect family get away. Kitchen stocked with all needed kitchenware (loved the mugs), and basic spices. Everything labeled and in working order. Heaters, hot tub, wifi and smart TV all worked very well. We had a blast with the homemade table tennis table which was in good shape with plenty of paddles and balls. Plenty of room for 5 to lounge around comfortably, play games and have meals.Great location. Quiet neighborhood just 5-7 minutes from the businesses on 29 Palms Highway and 10 minutes to the park entrance. Nice hiking trail at the top of the neighborhood (up the hill) with fabulous views of the valley.
