"We were greeted by a very stoic and unhelpful staff member who let us know that we had to pay $100 fee for having our two small dogs with us. We were unaware of this policy as it was not listed on Expedia so we mentioned being surprised and the concierge ignored us and handed us papers to sign. We were a little put off (as we would have gone to another hotel if we had known) but then the room was SO cold and for some reason we couldn't turn the heat up more than 70. There wasn't a real comforter on the bed- it was very thin and the bed was uncomfortable. the only nice part of this stay was the veteran checking us out who was so kind and I witnessed him being very attentive to another guest. Will not be staying here again."

"The Gardner Inn is very comfortable. We stayed in the John Waters quest room which was attractive with a touch of camp (as it should be). We slept beautifully. Breakfast and coffee were bot delicious. We especially enjoyed our conversation with the other guests and with innkeeper, John. Thank you for a great stay."

"My family of four stayed in the Romantic Villa in Troy during a weekend-long swim meet held at RPI. The home was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable and gave us plenty of space to prepare meals, relax and enjoy some time together. We appreciated the spaciousness, the off-street-parking, decor, and proximity to the campus as well as our accommodating and responsive hosts. We would love another stay if we are ever visiting the area again in the future!!"

"The room was clean and convenient for where we needed to be for the holidays. Jermaine was more than helpful with getting us into our room. The only things I think needs to be addressed is the powerstrip for the coffee and toaster kept tripping so we moved the coffee pot over. And there was no power in the bathroom for a blow dryer. Would have like a dresser to place clothes since we were staying 10 days. Over all it was a good little place to stay. Thank you Jermaine. "

"Updated apartment with all the modern amenities in a 130 year old brownstone just south of downtown. Walkable to downtown and a variety of restaurants. An area of town that is being renovated, will keep looking nicer as time goes on. Any time I needed something, James the host was very quick to reply and address."

Since we had brought our dogs with us the large fenced yard was a blessing. The location is very convenient as long as you understand the area. I would most definitely recommend this property to everyone and we hope to rent it on our next trip to the area."
