The things I did not like were: the shared toilet located across the room even though I booked an ensuite one - called and messaged the owner but no response; only 1 hanger available for our jackets, and the motion-activated light in the toilet automatically shuts off so I was having a shower in the dark lol"

"A lovely old building in a quiet neighborhood.The Edinburgh Marathon was the same weekend we were trying to get accommodations and the only room in this affordable lodging that was available was one with shared toilet and shower. We had a sink in our room though so that was great! The host was on site and actually insisted on carrying one of our bags up and down the two flights of stairs. The bananas and oranges at the front desk were very welcome! We expected to shared the toilet and shower but...

"No complaints, super comfortable. It was clean and very convenient, the bus stop is right outside and it’s a 10 minute walk to various restaurants, shops and convenience stores. There is no breakfast at the property. We did have trouble contacting the property before hand, and Expedia was also unable to contact them. It shows permanently closed on Apple Maps but it is open. When we arrived, they said they don’t even know that number that was online, however the correct phone numbers are listed...

"The owner was very friendly nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable and very big. High standards and quality. Breakfast was really good. Would highly recommend. "

"I like the location. The bus is just next to the house. The responsable gave us some information about the famous attractions in Edinburgh. He has a dog called Tom. He's very friendly. It was the first time i wasn't scared of a dog. I noticed just that the room isn't warm enough. But in general i liked the experience"
