Welcome sign in Elkin, North Carolina. Downtown Elkin is marketed as a historic and quaint town in the Yadkin Valley. It is funny to see this contrasted by an electronic welcome board. This board did not exist until the sometime in the past couple years or so. It makes you wonder why they chose to choose a more modern looking sign when they also want to keep the historic and quaint vibe that they market. In a way, I guess it is their way of integrating more modern technology to keep up with the times, and as a money making opportunity.

"Long weekend "

"Enjoyed the house, me and my son stayed for the weekend for an event downtown, it was a snow blizzard and we were so close to downtown it made it super easy to get to our event. Don't visit this city often but when I do I'll stay here again. Hose was very accommodating considering the snow storm and made sure we were safe. "

"Perfect place for us to stay. Clean, kitchen is stocked with basice kitchenware. Appliances all clean and ready to go. It is conveniently located close to downtown. Felt safe and secure. A few little problems. The TV remote batteries were all dead or the remotes didnt work so was unable to use the TV. "I had a wonderful four nights here. Lovely fully equipped studio apartment with plenty of room and the perfect place for a few days or a few weeks in the area. The decor and overall vibe is light, open and airy - very relaxing and welcoming. I didn't get to spend much time outside as it was a bit cold/rainy during my visit but it has a lovely little deck and other 'fresh air' amenities. "I really loved the location of this property. The house had a nice outdoor patio set to enjoy. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The kitchen was nice. Would have liked a wine opener and wine glasses and few more plates and bowls but it was fine for just myself. The sofa and desk chair in the living room could use a nice steam clean , but overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return."

Clean, large room, great breakfast!

"We needed to reserve our room early due to my husband having surgery that day. We needed a first floor room and two beds. When I called, I was accommodated immediately and when we arrived earlier than check in time, our room was ready for us. It was large and very clean. The included breakfast was very fresh and delicious with a good variety. I don’t expect much from hotel breakfast and this was a delightful surprise. The only negative I experienced is that the rooms are not very soundproof, it was noisy from others above us. It’s conveniently located near much shopping and restaurants. I would recommend it, great value for the money."

"Overall we had a very good evening. Everything was great as far as convenience and closeness to dining and touring the area. You can walk to the next town. Items in the room need to be replaced {coffee pot is old and dirty and the alarm clock/radio is old and runs fast}. The breakfast was good as well."
