"We booked this hotel for the Spa offered, but the spa was closed on Sunday"

"We only stopped one night, en route from Aurland to Geiranger, but really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and tasty. In fact, in the nicest possible way, it was very homely. Sometimes when you’re on a long vacation, the overly fancy stuff is just too much, and you long for a tasty, filling, nutritious meal. Oh, and the location is amazing. Our room had a balcony facing directly onto the fjord and mountains. Stunning!"

"Nice peaceful place, helpful staff. The apartment could do with a bit more equipment in the kitchen, for example more cutlery & there were only 3 bowls in a 4 person apartment. Useful to have washing machine in the apartment. There are a few bikes you can borrow but they could do with a bit of TLC, suitable for a short ride to town."

"We had a wonderful time in Viksdalen with our extended family. We had everything that we needed or could want in the house. We loved the separate lakeside cabin but wished that we had discovered it sooner, rather than at then end of the holiday. If we could have changed anything it would be that the wonderful view wasn`t obscured by the owners roofline. It is very peaceful here and if you like solitude then this place has it in covered."
