"Clean room, comfortable bed, and easy parking. The only issue was that there was no hair dryer in the room. I guess I'm so used to that being an automatic amenity that I didn't take notice it wasn't on the list when booking. Otherwise, it was a great stay, and I would definitely recommend it. We also ate at the restaurant, and the food was very good, and the staff was super nice."

"GO-Cottage is a charming little home and perfect for a stay in Lake Placid. It is perfectly situated near downtown and minutes away from the multitude of trails in the area. We spent the week with our dogs and appreciated the comforts the cottage afforded. It has a small fenced-in yard and is set back enough from the street, providing a quiet and safe space for them to play. The home itself is cozy and comfortable. Like most reviewers have said, it would be best for a couple or small family, as the bedrooms are attached and you have to go through one to get to the other. There is 1 small bathroom with a claw-foot tub/shower, so unsteady guests will need to be careful getting in and out of it, but the water pressure is great and never runs out of hot water. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were also a huge plus. Sharon is extremely helpful and responsive, both before and during our stay, and was thoughtful to provide instructions for the little quirks of the house (ie, smart TV remote, shower knob directions, etc). We really enjoyed Lake Placid and would stay at GO-Cottage the next time we make the trip up!"

"we went a little beyond our normal hotel stays and booked a queen suite; we were not disappointed. The room was huge, having a separate bedroom made it very comfortable. The large counter in the bathroom was very helpful. Staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in and out were easy. The grounds were clean and well maintained with a courtyard and fire pit out back. The lobby/bar/restaurant area was huge and very nice. It's about a mile on foot to downtown Lake Placid (uphill) so think hard before trying. We would strongly recommend this facility and will stay here again."

"House was awesome. We had 3 couples and it was very nice we had a bathroom with each bedroom. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. From plates , glasses, pots and pans to spices. Very well stocked with everything needed for our trip. Very spacious with the 3 levels. Bathrooms were very nice with towels and shampoos. Even had washer and dryer with supplies if needed.Would definitely stay here again and refer it to friends."

"Ted’s cottage was the perfect home base for our family vacation. He was extremely accommodating and left the property in pristine condition when we arrived. The home is very comfortable with a lovely porch overlooking whiteface mountain and only a short drive to Lake Placid. I would recommend this property for small families and small groups and would absolutely stay again. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, Ted!"
