"For a reasonably priced accommodation, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, this place is perfect. Conveniently located next to the Rocky Mountain National Park, a town with all shopping, dining and surrounded by the natural beauty of nature. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. The rooms were not large but for my purposes, I wanted a clean and conveniently located place to sleep and this fit the bill. I would come again."

Horseshoe Black Hawk Hotel & Casino - A Caesars Rewards Destination

"Dropped in for a weekend at the horseshoe, we ran into an issue with the TV which was promptly corrected which was great. We did arrive about 45 min early to check in, which they had available for a charge, which was disappointing it wasn't like it was hours early. The room was a room, nothing stood out as special, the windows opened which was nice to help with the humidity from the shower since the vent didn't expel the humidity quick. The one down fall we found was the very heavy "barn" style door to the bathroom. The tracks have not been cleaned in quite some time, the bearings were going out, the door was hard to move for a grown male. My wife struggled with it. Dining we would have liked some more desert options and even some quick breakfast options. However it wasn't the Monarch where the gnats were eating more than their share of the sweets in the display case that they were serving out of. Would we stay here again? We don't get out too often, so we would probably try other locations, nothing screamed must go back to the Horseshoe."
