"We were disappointed when we arrived to see a room that did not reflect at all what is shown on the site. Towels were dingy, floor was dirty, the carpet runner in front of the bath room was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The few dingy utensils there were we did not touch. We are experienced travelers and this felt like a thrird-world experience. There were 2 bottles of water in frig that were simply refilled!? After traveling 12 hours to arrive here it was a complete dissapointment. Guest beware, this is NOT was is shown in the photos."

"Complimentary brkfst was very much appreciated. The pool and hot tub were a nice option, even though the beach was only a 5 min walk away and usually preferred by most. We took advantage of the vouchers for chairs and umbrella everyday. The fitness room has nice equipment. "

"Just don't do it. Hotel was pretty, room was also pretty, so its a shame. Very poor management. Strong perfume smell in lobby (stronger than victoria secret smell), rooms werent ready so they vaccumed and steam cleaned AROUND us as we tried to snooze in the lobby at 2:30/3pm in the afternoon. Painting hallways on the room floors - again - middle of the day during a full spring break season with children - so sign, no fan, and no windows could open so there was a strong paint smell. We were gone all day and rooms still werent cleaned by 3pm - we were told 5pm was the allowable cutoff. Cleaning was average. only one person did the usual "hotel" stuff like folding over the toilet tissue and making the room feel "done". "buffet breakfast" was really "continental breakfast" - didnt even include the usual batch of scrambled eggs. it was so diappointing, we didnt bother to go back after the first morning. The AC in the room could not be lowered or shut off so the tech said we could just turn the circuit breaker off - yet the room was still abnormally cold while it was 85 degrees outside. Pool was nice, but only good till around 3-ish, b/c the sun gets blocked by a huge parking garage. I did speak to management, but i booked through expedia, so they couldnt do much for us financially. disappointed with this hotel, especially considering the HIGH price "

"I am not one to post reviews often but was disappointed with our stay at Hotel Nest. I was in town for a bridal expo with my fiance and I wish this weekend wasn't tainted by our experience. We booked a flight plus hotel bundle through Expedia for two people from Florida to Puerto Rico. My aunt (who speaks Spanish and was translating for us at the expo traveled from the west coast of the island -- 2 hours) to help with our planning. Our plan was always for her to stay for only that night. When we got to the hotel we had to sign a policy of maximum 2 guests occupancy -- even for visiting! No where was that mentioned at booking. We were told we had to pay the equivalent of a full night's stay for my aunt to stay with us. But didn't offer us a room for her. This hotel has rooms with double beds, but only maximum 2 people? I would have booked elsewhere, had we'd known at booking - however it was no where mentioned on the Expedia booking process that only 2 people were allowed in each room. We ended up paying $200 and honestly felt schemed for more money. On top of that, there was still trash in the room, the internet / TV was not working, and there was no hot water in the shower at all. We mentioned this to the staff, who fought on our behalf to make accommodations for my aunt, the manager refused. We were also told the manager was going to call us, but never did. Important to note, this hotel is NOT IN SAN JUAN. It is in Rio Pedras, an area that felt unsafe, many homeless. "
