"Pros: Kind, responsive property managers, close to beach and local food nearby. Cons: Roaches. I was beyond mortified to have had my leftovers in a to-go box in the refrigerator and upon opening to Re-heat a cockroach about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long scurried out!!! Everything we had, that we’d opened we threw out. Upon leaving the room, at about 3:45a we were packing and cleaning our dishes and saw again baby roaches rushing to hide into the walls which confirmed there are roaches in the unit....

"This place earns a 5 star- super clean, quick wifi and the pool was turley amazing. My only problem is we only left out selfs one night in Jaco but we will be back and will be staying at Zen"

"The property was beautiful and location superb. Steve was extremely helpful before and during our stay. The shoreline was rocky in areas but the water and sunsets were gorgeous. Perfect place for a big group. My family and I would stay here again."

"Our family, six adults and three children. From the time we arrived until we tearfully left, it was pure heaven. Property is gorgeous, Debbie, Jairo and crew made all our requests a reality from scheduling tours, airport shuttle and numerous other requests. We spent the majority of time relaxing by the pool. Carols, Gina and Tatianna were the absolute best. A few tears were shed when we left"

"Mariposa Villa was very clean, all systems and appliances were working well, and the property manager attended to our needs very responsively. Our stay was restful and restaurants nearby were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub and wildlife -- capuchin monkeys, iguana, birds, etc. Thank you to the host and staff for a relaxing respite!"
