"This place was amazing - pretty much a fabulous sushimi restaurant with a guesthouse on top. We (family of 5) had the run of the place and were treated to exceptional dinners and breakfast everyday. The owner even took us out one night with kitchen leftovers so the kids could feed the local deer. If you stay here, come hungry to every dinner!"

" A charming Japanese Ryokan with the best view of the famous Miyajima Torii. You can walk to it within 5 minutes during the off hours when the tourists are gone. We loved their 10-course Kaiseki Dinner and their Japanese breakfast. Their shuttle van picks you up at the ferry terminal. You should book your private 30-minute onsen when you check in. "

"The room is nice and the biggest we have had in Japan. It was very quite at night since there was only one other guest but on a different floor. Great free drip coffee and chill area downstairs. "The Miyajima Hotel Makato was an absolutely excellent experience. Their customer service was the best I have ever seen in my life! They were very helpful with every need and request. I absolutely would stay here again! The only thing I would change was the type of room. Make sure you want to stay in a traditional room if that is what you want. It is what we requested and was so cool. Next time I would stay in a modern room. They were excellent!"
