"We had a great time. Everything you would expect from a Minnesota Cabin. The lake was nice and caught several nice fish...we put them back so they're still in there. Dog loved it. Too hot for the hot tub but looked well kept and perfect for cooler weather. We'd go back again. Friendly neighbors/people passing by on the lake. There was one restaurant about 15 minutes away. Brought a George Foreman and that worked out nice for cooking. There was a grill but never used it/looked at it. Cabin/Outhouse was clean. The hill down to the cabin is sandy/washed out a bit but i have a jeep so this wasn't an issue...you'd need 4wheel drive to get all the way down to the cabin..but plenty of room to park/trailer at the top of the hill. Super fun!"

"My family and I had a wonderful week long stay, the house was spacious, clean and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming, paddle boarding and floating on Lake Pickerel, along with great bonfires and making s’mores in the evening with a beautiful view of the lake. Being able to use all the paddle boards and Kayaks was amazing and so fun!! We rented their pontoon and had many hours of enjoyment fishing from it as well as swimming in the middle of the lake. On days that it rained, we played board games and cards for hours (thank you for the great variety of board games!!) - we were never bored. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals but did enjoy a few delicious meals in Park Rapids! A huge thank you to our hosts for answering all our questions and giving us this amazing place to spend time with our kids- many great memories were created! It was a great week! Thank you also for your advice on walking paths, bike trails and pickle ball courts! I hardly wanted to leave, it was such a great week!!!! Thank you Pickerel Hideaway!!! "

"Exactly what our large family needed. Plenty of space and beds. Even a toy closet for the little ones. The hosts were so sweet and put up the baby gate, high chair, and pack-n-play. "
"Absolutely lovely. Small, pristine and quiet lake. We live south of the Twin Cities; hearing all manner of loon calls was mesmerizing. Close to Lake Itasca State Park and the Mississippi headwaters. Owners so kind and nearby and available for any need with just the right amount of involvement."
