Location is convenient: next to the Galata Bridge (shops, restaurants and the Galata Tower on one side, all the big monuments and museums on the other side). It is a bit noisy. The rooms look great, although cleaning can be improved. One day the drainage of the shower wasn’t working, the next day there was no hot water. These are the basics of hotels, which didn’t work. The old guy at the reception said that he knew that there was no hot water, but he was probably too proud to apologize. The younger personnel was friendly and very helpful.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a very comfortable stay. The staff are all super helpful and attentive. We were upgraded to a better room free of charge due to the length of our stay. I had the best stay at Galata Nordstern! The room was comfortable, though it could use a little update—some fittings in the bathroom were a bit worn, like the broken toilet seat and towel bar. That said, I didn’t mind too much because everything else made up for it. I loved the lively outdoor sounds, the convenience of nearby food, and the fun walk to Galata Port and Hagia Sophia. The staff was incredible, especially when they surprised me with a delicious cake on my birthday! Breakfast was simple but fine, and the rooftop views with chai were breathtaking. Overall, a wonderful experience—I’ll definitely be back!

The hotel was nice, with comfy beds and big rooms. My room had splendid a view to the Galata Tower. Staff is always ready to help, they even brought a plate of fruit as welcome. Breakfast was good with a fabulous terrace, but with only basic options, you should add yogurt and more sweet pastries. The tram stop is in front of the hotel which is very convenient, or you can cross the bridge and easily walk to the historical center.

Booked this for a long layover and it was a perfect location. Very central and easy to walk to many areas. The shower drained slowly like a previous review said, and the rooms did have some wear, but we loved the traditional look of the rooms and hotel. Would love to stay here again!
