"The hotel has several 5 star rating points to it. The staff cannot be more helpful and the rooms are comfortable, well sized. The hotel itself is small enough that the staff get to know you and are as helpful as can be. The negatives- the rooms are not sound proof - so ear plugs are needed and for some reason they charge 2EUR to rent pool towels. I've never been to a hotel where you pay for pool towels. They also don't tell you this when you check in so when you get to the pool, only then are you told, and you have to walk back up to reception. Breakfast as basic but nice, service at breakfast always with a smile. Cocktails round the pool were excellent, very reasonably priced and served quickly. The bar upstairs was also great, we didn't try the restaurant as wanted to venture into town at night which is beautiful."

"Outstanding service from all the staff - from the front desk, to housekeeping, and the dutiful restaurant staff. The rooftop restaurant (Lampara) served delicious food and the wait staff were excellent. Our room, overlooking the sea and the Castelo, was spacious."

"This is a very good hotel and I highly recommend. An oasis of calm after a week in busy Sorrento . Only stayed 2 nights and would have liked to stay for longer. Excellent service from the helpful staff. Very clean place. Had lunch one day, very good quality as was breakfast. Room had a balcony with view to sea and the hills behind. The hotel is about 2 miles from Ischia Port and the downside it is up a steep hill from the main road. The hotel provide a regular shuttle bus service to/ from Ischia port from where there is a very good bus service to all parts of island. Hotel provided us with a drop off and pick up service to a local thermal park which was well worth a visit. Not busy the day we visited. Loved the island of Ischia and will return . This is a great choice of hotel if you want to be close to Ischia Port and want to enjoy peace and calm. "

"Excellent stay at Pagoda. The staff are lovely and helpful, hotel is in a great area 5 minute walk to the ferries, and the beach area is gorgeous. Loved ordering a spritz and snacks beachside! Only downside is they don’t have hair conditioner. "

"I had hopes when they were able to accommodate an early check in but was quickly let down. The stated amenities are fraudulently portrayed. There is no restaurant except at the very bottom of a cliff not on premises. The hotel is in extremely poor shape and strongly smelled of sewer. There was not WiFi, no working elevator, no beach shuttle, not even water in the room or nearby to purchase. The pools were in dire need of a cleaning. The smell was overwhelming causing us to leave early. Do not stay here."
