"Wonderful place and even better hosts. Our AC went out and they put us up in another place for one night and had an entire brand new unit in one day. Also she cooked us wonderful conch fritters and the best carrot cake ever. If you want an off the beaten path true Bahamian experience this is a must do! So safe the people are wonderful. Don’t forget to visit Lorraine’s mom. For the most insane coconut bread ever and Lorraine’s cafe for amazing food. Rent a boat for the day and explore all the wonderful islands! "

"So close to airport you can walk!! Friendly staff always around if needed, delicious food at the flying pig cafe! Spacious and clean rooms with all you need! Renting a golf cart helped to get around to the beach! Miss it already!!"

"Our recent stay at Ida’s rental in Black Point, Bahamas, was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spotless the home was, every corner was immaculate, from the pristine walls to the freshly laundered towels and linens. Ida’s attention to detail is unmatched.The property is perfectly situated right on the water, with a boat dock where we swam every single day. Ida arranged a fantastic boat for us that made exploring the area even more magical. We also had a brand new golf cart to cruise around the island, driving it to the nearby beach by the pink house was a highlight; that spot is truly spectacular! Ida also was very courteous to pick us up at the airport immediately after we landed. I highly recommend. Ida is a phenomenal host. Her communication was prompt and warm, and she went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had. It felt like having a local friend looking out for us the entire time.This was one of the best vacation experiences we've ever had. "The house is clean and nicely stocked (although we didn’t cook anything other than boiling water). Gorgeous views and there’s a private cabana down by the water that was perfect. Santos was very friendly and helpful.. reserve the golf cart for sure, 70/day.. "

"Everything about our stay with Ida in the Starfish cottage was magical and perfect. Simple, adorable accommodations in a gorgeous location overlooking the bay and marina on Black Point Cay. It’s definitely out of the way (unless you have your own boat or plane), but getting there is part of the adventure. Ida and her family, along with all the residents we met, were welcoming and open to sharing their quiet island home. Travel light (& with a light touch) and you will be well rewarded with some of the most relaxing days of your life!"

"We made our choice to come here after reading their amazing reviews. We were blown away and will certainly be coming back. Ida and her so Terren are amazing and make the entire process extremely easy. We flew from Fort Lauderdale vía Makers Air which have a ton of flights into Staniel Cay. Once you arrive at Staniel Cay , Terren will be waiting for you practically on the tarmac and it’s a really short 10 min boat ride to black point . The house is extremely clean and accommodating. All tv’s have a fire stick to log into nextflix or any other streaming app. The AC’s work really good. The town is very small, but a good cart is necessary. We rented the golf cart from ida for our stay. There are a few local really small grocery stores and a few local small local restaurants. The location of the house is the best part. It’s is facing the most amazing beach I’ve ever seen and it’s just a few steps down from the house. There are beach chairs and large umbrella for the guest to use and Terren provided a small cooler that we used to take to the beach everyday. The beach is basically private as we didn’t run into anyone our whole stay. A must do is the day trip with Terren that takes you to the 9 locations, swimming with the pigs , grottoes, iguana island, sunken plane snorkeling, etc. It was so amazing we chose to do it two days in a row. This island is very special and small. You won’t run into any other tourists, just locals who are extremely nice."
